Our Mission:

Glorifying God in Thought, Word and Actions

Grace Church exists to glorify God by striving to fulfill. . .

The Great Command

And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.

Matthew 22:37-39 (ESV)

The Great Commission

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Matthew 28:19-20 (ESV)

Core Values

1. We value the sovereign, Holy and loving God of the

Bible, because he is the one and only true God.

    Romans 1:7; 1 Timothy 1:1-2; 2:5-6; 1 Peter 1:3

2. We value God centered worship, because God is

    worthy of all our praise.

    1 Chronicles 16:25; Psalm 96:4; Psalm 145:3

3. We value the transforming power of the Gospel of

grace, because without it we are without hope.

    Genesis 1:26; Genesis 2 :17; 3:19; Ecclesiastes

    2:11; John 3:14; 21:18; Psalm 51:7; Jeremiah 17:9;

    20:32

5. We value people and feel that we should treat them

as we would like to be treated, because they are

    created in God’s image.

    Ephesians 4:2; Genesis 1:27

6. We value humility, because God opposes the proud,

but gives grace to he humble.

    James 4:6

7. We value joy, because to serve God without it is to

    belittle his majesty. Hebrews 12:2

The Grace Church Family:

A story of God's amazing grace.

Grace Church's story is testimony to the faithfulness of God. Grace Church has been ministering to the Algona community since May 18,1861. At the time the church was composed of only sixteen members and known only as the Baptist Church. Since that time God has kept his promise to build His church (Matthew 16:18). While the name and the location of the church have changed, the mission to know God and make Him known and the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ have remained the same.
